Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Coating Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. The position would require traveling to the customer’s project location with an installation team member. At the jobsite, we use specific equipment to apply various types of coatings to concrete surfaces while maintaining exceptional customer service. As a coating technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare concrete surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and repairing as needed
• Operate large machinery such as grinders and vacuums
• Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations to ensure proper mixing and application of coating materials
• Apply coatings to surfaces according to project specifications
• Use tools and equipment safely and effectively, including rollers, brushes, sprayers, and trowels
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
• Communicate effectively with project managers and clients

Experience

• Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications as well as follow directions closely
• Previous experience in materials handling, machining, or power tool operation
• Physical stamina and ability to work on your feet for extended periods
• Background in construction-related work is preferred, such as painting, flooring, or equipment handling
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required
• Ability to drive and back up a truck with a trailer is preferred

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
